About Us

What is WACSP?

We are an organization for those who are active primarily in the field of Healthcare Central Service/Sterile Processing profession.

Why WACSP Exists

  • To provide a medium for the exchange of ideas and dissemination of information that pertains to Central Service/Sterile Processing.
  • To assist Central Service/Sterile Processing personnel in keeping up to date on guidelines, recommendations, regulations, current practice and procedures.
  • To encourage and assist members to develop their knowledge and increase their effectiveness in their Central Service/Sterile Processing departments.
  • To promote close cooperation and problem solving among healthcare Central Service/Sterile Processing personnel and other healthcare departments.
  • To conduct regular meetings and educational programs for the benefit of all members.

When Meetings are Held?

Two day long meetings/educational programs are held each year, usually in March, May. A September meeting is combined for a two day meeting/seminar.

Where Meetings are Held?

Various cities in the state (usually in Milwaukee-Waukesha, Wisconsin Dells and Green Bay).

When are Membership Renewals Due?

Typically, membership renewals occur January/February annually.

How Objective are Accomplished?

Speakers present programs at the meetings on technical and management topics related to Central Service/Sterile Processing. Each program provides hours of contact or CEU credits with technical and/or management information.
